Founded in 1915 and recognized as one of New York City's legendary real estate families, the partners' long-ranging strategies have enabled the organization to evolve from successful construction and operational subsidiaries into a broad-based investment company with properties throughout the US and Mexico. Over the decades, Fisher partners have remained committed to prudent entrepreneurship, precise planning, hard work, integrity and community values, advancing the firm's solid reputation as builders, owners, managers, upscale developers, investors and major philanthropists. During the firm's lifetime, it has constructed over 10 million square feet of Class A office space and today owns, manages and leases over 5 million square feet to major corporate tenants. In 2004, Fisher Brothers and Morgan Stanley co-sponsored the City Investment Fund, a $900 million private equity fund pursuing opportunistic real estate investments within New York City's five boroughs. Investors include pension funds of New York State and New York City.
